P-EBT 2.0 (or Pandemic EBT 2.0) is a nutrition assistance program for eligible children who have lost access to food due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
With schools adopting a virtual or hybrid model for instruction during the 2020-2021 school year, families had to provide meals that would normally be provided by the child's school. That’s where P-EBT comes in to help lessen the impact of that financial burden on these families.
No application is needed for P-EBT benefits. The P-EBT cards are automatically mailed to the eligible children.
P-EBT benefits can be used at grocery stores, farmers' markets and other places where EBT is accepted, just like regular CalFresh benefits.
